Electrify Your Slime & Craft Projects

Charge up arts and crafts with Elmer's Glow-in-the-Dark Liquid Glue! It’s washable and flexible when dry, so it’s easy to clean up and perfect for kids. They can add it to painting, decorating, or gluing projects; shine a light on it; and watch it radiate in the dark. They can even make slime that glows-just mix with a few common household ingredients like baking soda and contact solution. Check out how to make glow-in-the-dark slime below!

Recipe: Elmer's Glow-in-the-Dark Liquid Glue

Ingredients:

- (1) 5 fl. oz. bottle Elmer's Glow-in-the-Dark Liquid Glue

- 1/2 tbsp baking soda.

- 1 tbsp contact lens solution.

Add baking soda to glow in the dark glue

Mix Glue & Baking Soda

Mix together entire contents of 5 fl. oz. bottle of Elmer's Color Glue and 1/2 tbsp baking soda in a bowl.

Add Contact Lens Fluid

Add 1 tbsp contact lens solution and mix until slime begins to form.

Remove & Knead

Take slime out of bowl and begin kneading with both hands. Add 1/4 tbsp contact lens solution to make slime less sticky.

Adult supervision is required. This project is not appropriate for children under the age of 3 years.

Warning: If a large quantity of contact lens solution is accidentally ingested (more than 1 tablespoon), get medical attention immediately.

Even though the colors are limited, it’s nothing that a few drops of Dec-a-cake food coloring won’t fix, and the food coloring doesn’t seem to limit the glow-ability or consistency...just to remember that a little goes a long way when working with food coloring and it’s important to get your color like you want in the first step when it’s just glue, before you mix in the baking soda and contact lens solution. Great fun on a rainy summer afternoon! Can’t wait til we can get it in the gallon size!
