Salsbury Steak

Amazingly Simple and Quick Salsbury Steak Recipe

We raise cattle, so I am always looking for ways to use up our hamburger meat and creating easy ground beef recipes.  Rather it’s a new recipe or an old favorite, I love sharing eas recipes!  Today I’m sharing with you my Amazingly Simple and Quick Salsbury Steak Recipe.

Shopping for Ground Beef

Raising cattle causes us to have plenty of hamburger meat in the freezer. In these times, we are lucky to have our own farm-raised meat.  We know exactly where it is coming from.  If we don’t have our own cows, we buy from local farmers and have it processed.  Knowing that a lot of the meat in the stores is from foreign countries has me super skeptical.  If you wish to purchase grass-fed beef from local farmers, check out this site Eat Wild to find farmers in your state.

Simple and Quick Salsbury Steak

My Amazingly Simple and Quick Salsbury Steak recipe is super simple and quick. You don’t need a lot of ingredients to whip it up. No extras, like onions or mushrooms, are needed but they can be added if you would like. My kids are not fans of either, so I don’t usually add them. If just my husband and I were eating Salsbury Steak, I would add onions and mushrooms to the gravy.

Even without the onions and mushrooms, this gravy is full of delicious meaty flavor you will love.

Ideas for Sides with Salsbury Steak

There are so many options when it comes to sides. The top things you could serve with it are mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. You could add a side of zoodles to bring down the carbs.

You also can’t go wrong with a side salad or garlic bread.
