I love creating crafts that are useful and that are perfect for my daughter.  This easy How to Make Fizzy Scented Bath Bombs craft is perfect for kids to create and use, or even give as a gift.

I recently partnered with Simply Earth Essential Oils and adore their monthly subscription box. Now I have the tools to create things like bath bombs for a relaxing spa bath or gifts for family and friends.

My daughter has been looking at the bath bomb kits at the store and asking for one, but I really don’t know how safe those ingredients are.  I decided it was time to make up my own recipe and create our own bath bombs.

What You Can Teach Your Kids

Explain to your kids that bath bombs fizzing are a chemical reaction. When the citric acid and the baking soda react, they form new molecules. One of those molecules is carbon dioxide (CO2). This is a gas, and the sudden production of gas molecules in the mixture causes small bubbles to form. That is what you create when you put the bath bombs in the tub.
