Top Gifts for 5 Year Old Girls

My daughter turned 5 this year.  Not only did I need to find gifts for her, but also for all the little friend parties she was invited to. We actually have a birthday party later today, and she just went to a super cute Frozen themed party last Saturday. So, I came up with a list of the Top Gifts for 5-Year-Old Girls.  Each of these my daughter already has and loves, or we have purchased for her friends of the same age.  Sometimes I get lucky and my daughter will tell me what her friends like, so I have a better idea of what to buy.  But, that is not always the case.  This list is likely to make any 5-year-old girl happy!  I wanted to do a somewhat comprehensive list, with a variety of prices ranges.  Though, most of these gifts are in the $25 or less price range.

Gifts $25 or Less

Shrinky Dinks Jewelry making kit.  I loved shrinky dinks when I was a kid!  I bought this for my daughter, and my 16-year-old and I also joined in on the creating!  It’s amazing to watch them shrink and turn into super cute jewelry.  We really had a lot of fun with this. You can read about it here.   You can find all kinds of craft kits that any little girl would love to have!

A super cute unicorn craft, make your own Unicorn Dreamcatcher!  Little girls are crazy over unicorns.  My daughter has this and loves having it hanging in her room

Moana necklace and flower hair clips.  My daughter loves to play dress up, and this is perfect if she loves Moana.  This is even super cute for everyday and school wear.  My daughter wore this to her birthday party and wears it to school.

Board Games

A great strategy building game.  I think board games are fun, and a fantastic way for kids to learn too!  This is a great one to add to your collection.

Another fun board game.  Candy Land is a classic, and even better with My Little Pony.  Any little girl would love this game.

My daughter has this Farm Vet Barbie set and plays with it a lot.  Anything Barbie is great for little girls!

LOL Surprise Pets.  I’m not sure why my daughter loves these LOL Surprise toys so much, but she does.  Maybe it’s the thrill of opening each little item.

Dress Up & Pretend

Pet Vet Kit.  I think most little girls would love taking care of their pets.  I know my daughter does.

Moana Dress up outfit.  This was the theme of my daughters 5th birthday party, and she has this exact dress up outfit.  Any dress up outfit is fun for little girls.  My daughter wore this to a princess birthday party, to her party, and just around the house to play in.

My daughter got quite a few legos for her 5th birthday.  This is one of the sets she received.  Keep in mind, 5-year-olds will need help with these, but I think it’s a great way to spend time with your kids.  They learn to follow directions, improve motor skills and learn patience.  They have smaller and bigger kits, plus so many choices!!

Items over $25

A bike.  This was my daughter’s main present for her birthday from us, not this exact bike, but pretty close.  I think 5-years-old is the perfect age to start learning to ride a bike.

Monster, from Osmo games.  Play beyond the screen.  This game and several others are compatible with iPhone or Ipad.  I bought the iPhone version.   It comes with a dry erase board and markers to bring your drawings to life! Each item you draw for Mo will be magically pulled into his world. Together create animated activities to share with family and friends.  My daughter loves this game and plays it quite often.

Pretty play tent!  You will have to have some room for this one.  We don’t have this, because of space limitations, but I think my daughter would have lots of fun with this.

Most little girls love baby dolls, except mine!   You could probably find some good ones for less than $25.  This will make a great present for most little girls though.

Barbie

I just love that Barbie is still popular with girls!  The horse is interactive and responds to actions and touch!  She is a pretty amazing dream horse.  This was on my daughter’s Christmas list, and several of the other girls in her class wanted this.

Barbie Dream House!  This house would be so awesome! My daughter would love this so much!  She has a Barbie house, that I got at a garage sale for $3.00.  LOL!  For now, it will do.  I think most little girls would be thrilled to receive this as a gift.

Conclusion

Well, this is the end of my list.  I hope you find some inspiration in it!  Are there other suggestions you have for great gifts for 5-year-old girls?  I would love to hear from you.  Just comment below!
