How to Make Rainbow Glitter Slime

Rainbow crafts are so colorful and fun! My daughter and I have already created 2 other rainbow crafts. You can check out Rainbow Fruit Loop Craft and Rainbow Craft Sticks Craft. Today we will show you How to Make Rainbow Glitter Slime.

What is a Rainbow?

It is described on the UCAR website as:

Author Donald Ahrens in his text Meteorology Today describes a rainbow as “one of the most spectacular light shows observed on earth”. Indeed the traditional rainbow is sunlight spread out into its spectrum of colors and diverted to the eye of the observer by water droplets. The “bow” part of the word describes the fact that the rainbow is a group of nearly circular arcs of color all having a common center.

Supplies

  • 3/4 Cup of Clear School Glue
  • 3/4 Cup warm water
  • 1 Cup Liquid Starch
  • bowl
  • spoon or craft stick to stir with
  • fine glitter in rainbow colors (we used red, gold, green, blue, and purple because that is what we had at home)

Instructions

  • Mix water and glue thoroughly in a bowl. Slowly add the liquid starch, stirring as you add it. Divide the slime into 5 (or the number of colors you have) equal parts. Add glitter to each and knead until glitter is incorporated into the slime.
  • You could also make separate batches of slime and stir the glitter in before adding the liquid starch. This would be less mess, but more work.
  • Now let your kids enjoy playtime with their new rainbow glitter slime.
