Tuna Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Mac and cheese
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can of cream mushroom soup
  • 1 can of tuna
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 x 8 baking dish
  • TOPPING
  • 5 slices of bread cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tblsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 Tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven 350 degrees. Cook the macaroni according to directions. Drain macaroni, add butter, milk, and cheese packet. Stir well. Add cream of mushroom soup, tuna, salt, and pepper. Pour in a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
  • For topping melt 3 Tbsp butter in a medium bowl, add garlic powder, onion powder, and parmesan cheese. Mix well. Add bread cubes to the bowl and stir well to coat. When tuna casserole is done (after 20 minutes), cover the casserole with the bread crumb topping. Place in oven and cook 10-15 minutes until bread is crisp and dark brown.

Notes

Possible Additions:
  • Top with shredded cheddar cheese before adding the bread crumbs.
  • Add garlic powder and onion powder to the casserole.
  • Add an extra can of tuna.
  • Add 1/2 cup of miracle whip for some extra tangy creaminess.
